Professional CAMO

Mobiado Professional Camo

The Mobiado Professional CAMO may not be the best handset when it comes to high-tech features, but it certainly puts up a fight. First, it’s a Triband GSM phone that can connect to the Web via GPRS/EDGE. It also supports Push-to-talk over cellular, Bluetooth, USB, and Infrared connectivity, to make simple communication and file transfers a breeze. It’s got a pretty thick body (105 mm x 46 mm x 20 mm), but rest assured that it’s well worth it’s weight (142 g, including BL-5C battery).

It doesn’t let down on multimedia either, because it has a 1.3 megapixel camera, inbuilt FM radio, and a music player that supports AAC/MP3/M4A file formats. Internal memory is limited to only 32 MB but this can be further expanded via MMC cards up to 512 MB.

The best part about this phone, as mentioned earlier, is that only 200 units will be produced globally. And no two handsets are alike, because the military-style camouflage highlights you see are all individually hand-painted on the outer casings. I don’t even need to mention the stainless steel buttons, DiamondShield coating, and anodized aircraft aluminum casing for you to know that this is item is as rare as it gets.

Mobiado Lucido

Mobiado Lucido

The Mobiado Lucido takes cues from the oh-so-exclusive Mobiado Luminoso, and is fashioned-just like every other Mobiado phone we’ve seen so far-with a combination of some sapphire crystal, stainless steel, and aircraft aluminum. Only 200 pieces of it will ever be produced. Making it a little something you could call “limited edition.

It’s a phone that puts form first, but function isn’t that too left behind either. Of course it’ll be unlocked and will work fine with any GSM operator (as long as you’re within cell range). And not only can you take it on cross-country trips, but also across continents as it has triband GSM and WCDMA 2100 network coverage.

The Mobiado Lucido also supports MP3, MP4, eAAC+ and AAC multimedia file formats, which you can play on its built-in music player. A 2 megapixel camera takes care of snaps, and memory shouldn’t be a problem since you can feed this baby with up to 2GB, give or take a few MBs.

Sagem/Porche P9522

The candy bar shaped handset is crafted from solid aluminium and is no slouch when it comes to specs; featuring a 2.8-inch AM-OLED touch sensitive display and a 5-megapixel camera with flash and autofocus amongst other things.

The handset comes with GPS and Wi-Fi too, but no 3G connectivity, which could be a bit of a gamble on Sagem's part leaving only the inferior GSM/EDGE connections as an option when outside of Wi-Fi coverage.

As you'd expect the P9522 ships with a music and video capable media player and offers support for microSD cards up to a capacity of 8GB, but what you perhaps wouldn't expect is the fingerprint reader that offers security for personal documents as well as PIN-locking the phone.

Professional 105 EM

As if there weren’t enough Mobiado luxury phones already, the Canadian manufacturer has announced today the release of four new handsets: Professional 105 EM White, Professional 105 EM Red, Professional 105 EM CLB Black and Professional 105 EM CLB Silver.

The first two phones are part of the Professional 105 EM Special Edition series and are built from exquisite materials like maple burl wood, titanium, sapphire crystal and 24K gold.

Both the 105 EM Special Edition handsets feature a patent pending hidden sliding battery cover mechanism; also, their battery cover is made from a single piece of sapphire crystal.

Nokia Royal

The Royal resembles the Carbon Arte, but brings more luxury to the table. It’s not covered in carbon, but in solid platinum fixed with 8 handmade platinum screws.

On the sides, Nokia Royal hosts around 1160 tiny diamonds that totalize about 8.2 carats. And to make it all even more luxurious , the handset comes in a handmade box built from granite and leather.

If you ask me, the phone doesn’t look that good. But hey, it’s not the first and certainly not the last luxury device that’s not as beautiful as its makers want us to believe it is.

The Royal is crafted in the UK by Goldstriker’s Stuart and Katherine Hughes. Only 50 units of it will be created. And, although its price is not known yet, it will surely be an extremely high one.

Ulysse Nardin

Ulysse Nardin has recently announced its first handset, dubbed Ulysse Nardin Chairman and coming as a luxury “hybrid smart phone”.

Unlike many other luxury phones, the Chairman has a pretty cool set of features, starting with the 2.8 inch multi-touch display and the finger print recognition sensor for unlocking the screen.

Manufactured from “the finest materials”, Ulysse Nardin’s handset includes a mechanical watch . This will not only tell you the time, but it also helps you charge the battery, thanks to the kinetic energy developed by the watch’s moving rotor.

Gresso Grand Monaco

Gresso Grand Monaco 3

The Russian manufacturer of Luxury mobile phones, announced the release of a new collection dubbed Gresso Grand Monaco.

Inspired by F1 racing, the Gresso Grand Monaco phones are made from materials borrowed from the world of racing: “titanium superalloy”, high-tech ceramic and carbon. Other materials include steel and hand-polished 42 K sapphire crystal (framing the display).

The phones have flat keypads and feature stuff like: GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, 2MP camera, Bluetooth, email and “an outstanding menu design”.
